The Dark Knight Rises and How It Should Be Remembered

If you haven't seen the Dark Knight Rises yet, you need to see it. If the tragedy in Colorado is holding you back from seeing this movie, don't let it. Instead cherish the memories of the fans who lost their lives trying to make their dreams reality, by watching The Dark Knight Rises, and go see the movie for yourself. This movie should not be cursed because of this terrible event, but instead used as a token of respect to those who lost their lives and were injured. Don't give into fear, because that is exactly what cowards like James Holmes want. I'm not going to let this tragedy turn one of the greatest movie trilogies ever made into a bad memory...I'm not going to give in to fear or anxiety. The Dark Knight Rises is a great movie and the movie goers in Aurora, Colorado knew that. I know they wouldn't want its memory hand-in-hand with sadness. This tragedy should just be another reason to see this movie and what it and Batman stands for...that we shouldn't live our lives in fear and that there is good in our world, and it's worth saving.

Imo the best way to show your love and support to those who were injured and lost their lives is to go see this movie. You pissed off that some maniac gunned down 12 innocent people in a place of imagination and peace? Then say fuck him and go see this movie. He wants you to be sad and afraid. I'm not going to let that happen and I'm not going to let him win. From this day forward I'm not going to remember The Dark Knight Rises with the madman who gunned down 12 innocent people, but instead I'm going to remember the symbol of hope that Batman is...the strength that he gives to the weak and innocent...an ordinary man fighting injustice...sacrificing himself for others...and the Batman fans who died and were injured who saw that same symbol of hope.

Amazing how a Fictional character has now become real...He didnt put fear into anyone he more so just made a movie hero become a real life symbol of hope for everyone in the world, Batman IMO will now be looked at as a real life entity instead of a movie hero, what happened is terrible, but now everyone in the world has a symbol to look up to.

Yeah I was talking to my buddy who works at our theater and he was saying though it is the most popular movie, attendance has dropped significantly since the shooting. Not gonna lie, the first time I went, I had my feet planted ready to book it at the first sign of trouble. There was definitely a scary atmosphere to the theatre the night of the shooting

I never even thought about the shooting when I went to see the movie. Just another day at the movies...
    We can do better.

I saw Ice Age last night. No intent in seeing Dark Knight anytime soon though, I like seeing movies when the theater isn't packed.

Dude Break away from the theater Rut, Just wait for DVD, or Streaming.

Picture this, In your own house all the doors locked with cool AC on grippin your Colt 45 waitin for some orange haired freak to walk through your back door while watching Batman. If you want to wear a batman mask so be it. It might be illegal soon enough.

Imo, there is no match to watching a movie on a 10 by 7 story screen in true IMAX. You'll never get the true experience if you watch IMAX movies on your Blu-Ray and 60 inch TV. It's like watching your kid on a roller coaster compared to sitting right next to him experiencing it for yourself.
