I feel your pain. I turned 43 a couple of days ago. It's depressing to note that the average male life expectany here in the US is about 77. So that means I'm past middle age (43X2=86). Hell, I've got one foot in the grave!

By the way, when I fret about not being in my 20s any longer, I remind myself of the friends I have had, some a little older, some a few years younger who are already dead.
It usually takes me right out of that self pity and reminds me that I dont HAVE to be getting older.
Unfortunatlely that type of reality check involves attending funerals of your dear friends. On the bright side, my passed friends would enjoy knowing that they helped me learn to appreciate the rest of my life.

Uggh. It happened again today. I was reminded of my age in the parking lot of the hardware store. I was walking across the lot and a badass mint 6.6L Turbo T/A came rumbling down a lane. Those were the things that high school dreams were made of.
On my way back to my car I saw that the T/A was parked next to me - with a Historic Vehicle license plate.
