Re: ... family has car issues.
See I enjoy working on my '67 Chevy pickup. You can actually maneuver around in the engine compartment and there's none of that computer bullshit. Straight engine and transmission - I love it.
I hate working on newer cars. It's retarded. I guess I hate it because I don't have the programs and software to diagnose the problems. That always helps.

Yeah I've just about stopped helping with computers. The only person I help is my mom but I have it set with remote assistance so I just log in and fix what ever lame issue in 2 minutes instead of spending 4 hours on the phone walking her through. God I love it.

Some times you have to love karma. Just spent the last couple hours tearing that pos apart. So far it needs both coolant sensors, exhaust bolts, both rad hoses, a rad, plugs, wires because they tore them apart trying to get them out, hard coolant lines, and an ac liquid line because they left weight resting on the line and broke the weld, and the kit they bought was missing 6 valve guide seals.
Family or not i dont buy parts.

Re: ... family has car issues.
Actually after the conversation i had with them before the one where they apoligized i told them i was going to put it on a wrecker and send it back if they didn't knock their shit off. Just because they're sitting at home doesn't mean i am. I think i made it pretty clear it will be done when i have the time to work on it or they can pay someone else to fix it.
