Boston: Found a Job, Need Housing
For those of you foolish enough to remember me from the good old days of BF2, you'll be pleased (perhaps) to know that I still survive!
Anyhow, I'm posting this in the jobs section, since it seems like the best fit so far as I can tell...
I have a job offer in Cambridge, MA. I'm hoping to find someplace to live that's within walking distance of the Red line so that I'll feel comfortable starting at said job without having to worry about an absurd commute from New Hampshire.
Since craigslist has yielded nothing as of yet, I figure I may as well see if the good people of TPG can provide any leads.

Unfortunately my friends just filled their spot in the apartment in Somerville. I do not know any right off the top of my head but I will say be careful with the red line as it is not always reliable.
That said, in a few months maybe in the spring. I will be looking for a place in the same rough area as I work at the Boston Federal Reserve building which has a tunnel to south station. So when I was looking originally Craigslist had a lot of stuff open in Somerville, Cambridge, Arlington, Belmont if you want to be real close to the red line. Alternatively you could go to some where like Medford, Newton, Waltham or Winchester which would be just a bit further from Boston proper and you could get a bus down through to Cambridge/MBTA.
I had an apartment in Medford, took me 10 minutes, non-commute time of day, to get to Welington Station which is a big bus hub/Orange Line. And then from Welington I'd spend another 10 minutes between arriving, waiting for a train and getting out at North Station. So living within the 128/95 Belt you're pretty close to the city.
What sort of work did you get? Cambridge lends me to guess some sort of science job.
