    you work on dinner, then...

This morning our crock pot crock was in the dishwasher, so my wife asked me to put dinner in it once the dishwasher finished. I proceeded to cut up some onions, bell peppers, and jalapenos to put with the marinated flank steak. I get everything in the pot, set it to high, and then set a timer for 2 hours to check on it. The timer goes off, I go in the kitchen, open the lid, and everything is still raw and cold, WTFBBQ? In case no one knows you have to plug in a crock pot for it to actually work, FML. Since it was already on the counter I never even checked. It is now plugged in, and we should be fine for dinner, but maybe a little later than expected.
