...you have a shit load of work for nothing.
I put my car together and found a rat built a nest up in the dash. He was long gone when i got into it but the smell if fucking unbearable. I've driven it a dozen times and continue to try and clean the area with different shit to kill the stink in it. Nothing has worked so i tore the dash out of it today. I guess when i found the nest i managed to pull it all out but you still get kicked in the face by the odor.
So now my whole car it torn apart just so i can go thru every piece with a rag and cleaner. 3 hours to tear it apart and 2 hours cleaning pieces. Sprayed one last coat of cleaner and letting it air dry then one more once over and i can see if the odor is completely gone. Then i have to find some silicon tubing for the ac system (little fucker chewed all of them) so i can start putting it back together. And i still have no idea how he managed to get into the car to begin with.
I did manage to completely destroy my dash panel trying to remove it. The sun had already cracked it but it damn sure wont go back in now seeing as its in about 20 pieces. At least i found out it is actually one of the last pieces to go in. SO when i get a replacement i wont have to work to hard to install it.
I dont know what fucked my throat up worse the smell or rat piss or the cleaner im using.

Well at least something worked out. The vacuum lines were discontinued so i was going to build a new harness but could not find the end connectors i need. So i figured try a salvage yard even though i do not like getting parts from them. They had 1 98-02 f body on the lot and it was still there in one piece. It would have cost me about 50 bucks to build a new harness and they sold me one for 5 bucks. Now all i have to do is get the energy to go put this damn thing back together.

Re: ...you have a shit load of work for nothing.
I know the feeling. I just built a custom 6.2 Turbo diesel motor for my truck spent weeks getting it all together and set. Put it in the truck and it ran good once I got it started. 175 miles later it stalls in the middle of rush 30 minute traffic (yes it's that short where I live) in one of 2 lanes going north... Had a friend of mine tow me a mile back home. It pushed the cam plug out and I found out the cam bolt was not tightened correctly... So I have to take the tranny out and the whole front of the motor has to be disassembled... AKA about 12+ hours of labor to get the POS truck (yes thats it's name) together. So guess what I'm working on again this weekend....
