Minnesota State vs UAH hockey
Just watched Minnesota State kick University of Alabama in Huntsville ass. After the 1st period it was 1-0 and I think Minn. had 18 shots on goal to UAH 2. I told my wife it would be a long night for Huntsville if the shots on goal stayed like that. Minn scored on 3 power plays and had a short handed goal. Huntsville scored once on a power play. Huntsville goalie looked good even though he gave up 4 goals. Hell he had 34 saves. When you play most of the game 30 ft from your goalie you are not going to have a good night. Was fun to watch been 8 years since I watched a game. My little boy who is 5 loved it. He stayed on the edge of his seat the whole time. He is playing hockey either this year or next so he got pumped up about it today watching a live game.

Fixed.
When it comes to college hockey, Minnesota is Mecca. Our "A" team (Golden Gophers) is usually, with VERY few exceptions, all Minnesota kids.
It's too bad to see hockey leaving UAH. Hopefully you can find another local team to bring Lil' Tymer to. Sounds like you guys had a pretty good time.

Re: Minnesota State vs UAH hockey
interim UAH President Malcolm Portera announced that the 2011–12 season would be the school's final season competing at the NCAA Division I level, citing financial reasons. The program would be "realigned" as a club team, and the coaches' jobs would be eliminated as of May 31, 2012.[5] New UAH president Dr. Robert Altenkirch reversed the decision after he and school administrators met with local supporters on December 6, 2011.[6] UAH will continue to play at the NCAA Division I level for the 2012-13 season. The school has set up a campaign to raise funds for the program, with the goal of getting the Chargers into a conference.[7] UAH has expressed interest in joining the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, which plans to add a 10th member when it realigns for the 2013-14 season
1995-96 UAH team went undefeated (26-0-3) in the 1995-96 season and beat Bemidji State 7-1 and 3-0 at the Von Braun Center to claim its first NCAA championship in any sport.
The 1997-98 UAH team claimed its second Division II championship in 1998, beating Bemidji again 6-2 and 5-2 in Huntsville to finish
24-3-3.[2]
