Re: Aaron Rogers My Hero...Funny Stuff
Saw that trade last night, and was commenting to Gonz that you're getting taken. When Tate is healthy again, he's just on Arian Foster injury away from being one of the best plays in FF. You gave him away for a mediocre defense
Man, and I thought my trades last year were bad lol.

Re: Aaron Rogers My Hero...Funny Stuff
I proposed that trade. I was going to drop tate. He's not doing shit this year and holding onto a guy purely hoping for an injury is desperate fantasy play and I'm not desperate at 6-1.
I only drafted him because I thought him and foster might share time a more, like bush and forte or spiller and jackson are.
So rather than drop him and have one of the guys high on waiver get him, I sent him to a weaker team in the league that I already played head to head. So even in the off chance foster gets injured hurt, that guy can enjoy him and bump you and the other bottom feeders out of the playoffs.
For me, I get an underrated defense that I think will get a lot of sacks against bad AFC west teams. And their week 16 opponent is cleveland at home, and I plan on playing in week 16. Week 14 is against the raiders and their turnover prone qb that denver already smoked once. I just have to find a good week 15 defense and I'm set for playoffs.

lol, and the fact that you're a die-hard Broncos fan had nothing to do with you choosing that mediocre defense. Don't piss on me and tell me it's raining Coors
And holding onto a guy's handcuff isn't desperate fantasy play. For someone at 6-1, you didn't really need to pick up another D, and with your starters you could afford to hold onto a guy in case Foster gets hurt. Backups are just that, they're there "just in case."

Re: Aaron Rogers My Hero...Funny Stuff
nope i dont draft based on being a fan of my IRL team, although I do use knowledge of my team to pickup players on said team that are underrated yes.
And your words on backup strategy don't have much merit when your the guy who has forte and forgot to draft michael bush.
BTW I just checked and if you had taken my trade offer a couple weeks ago you would have won last week and still had a chance at the playoffs. You would have more points this week too.
Now your playoff hopes can quote brady quinn and say "now im done."

Re: Aaron Rogers My Hero...Funny Stuff
You're right about me not taking Michael Bush. I definitely should've, but I focused elsewhere instead, and that hasn't turned out very well so far lol.
And if I took your trade offer a couple weeks ago, I'd have been putting most of my eggs in the Giants basket lol. It'd be silly for me to have Eli Manning and the Giants D (like I do), and then pick up Ahmad Bradshaw AND Andre Brown. What would I do when the Giants are on a bye, play Jonathan Stewart? The Panthers running game has been putrid lol. Can't just load up on one team. Right now I'm diversified, and while it hasn't resulted in wins, I've been extremely competitive most weeks. This week my entire team underperformed (Josh Gordon and the Giants D were the only ones that even met their projecteds), but if you look at the other weeks, my teams have performed well....but my opponents have performed even better.
There's just no way I would've taken your trade offer, whether it would've gotten me a win last week or not. And my playoff hopes are not done, they've just taken a bit of a body blow
