The Redskins rule
I wasnt sure if i should post this here or on political forums so i chose sports.
I just found this on cracked.com. This has been happening since 1940.
Since 1940 in the final Redskins home game before the election, if the redskins win then the incumbent party wins the presidential election. If the Redskins lose then there is a shift of power.
The only time this "rule" was not upheld was in 2004 when the Redskins lost but Bush stayed in office. BUT in 2000 they say Gore won the popular vote, and if he were in power and 2004 was won by a republican then the rule would have been upheld. So it states otherwise that it is dependent of the popular vote of the previous presidential election.
So in 2008 Obama won the popular vote. If this rule is upheld once again Obama would win the election if the Redskins win.
This year the CHOSEN game is Redskins vs Panthers. I dont know much about sports so maybe you guys can tell me from this who will win the election
