Could be they rewrite something similar to the Thrawn trilogy but not quite. I see that Boba Fett is listed and if they do something like the story in the mercenary book where he gets out of the Sarlacc then it might be interesting. Add in that Lucas already rewrote the Mandalorian background for the Clone Wars cartoon and things get all jumbled.

Honestly, the canon junkies will be screaming at it, but if it is done well and better than ep 1-3 then I could give two shits. Lucas lost a lot of respect from me with those movies, only parts of them even felt like star wars.

Rationale: Dash has to be grizzled and tough. He can't be dashing and charming like Solo or their characters become redundant. He can't be particularly sexy. Dash is someone who has watched a lot of people die, either by his hand or his enemies. He doesn't wisecrack and he has little time for the ladies. Also he looks awesome in space armor.
