Funny kid stories....

So, as anyone that is a parent can tell you, being a parent is the funniest job on the fucking planet. Had a pretty entertaining exchange with my almost 2 year old tonight. I really wish I had to make some of this up lol:

So...on the way to get dinner tonight:

Asher(really excited): Dad, Me Ball!(if he wants anything he puts me/my in front of it)
Me:looks around confused:
Asher(Pointing, still excited) Dad! Me BAAAAALLLL!!
Me: (still confused) Where is this ball Asher(looking in the back seat, floorboards, his lap, etc for this stupid $1 basketball that we currently regret buying).

Finally get to a stop light, start looking at the floorboards and whatnot to see if he found one and dropped it(to no avail).
Asher

exasperated) No, dad, Me BAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLL(pointing out the window).

For anyone that hasn't been outside tonight, the ball in question is the moon.

Me: Asher, I can't give you that ball.
Asher: DAD!!! ME BALL!!(now he's getting upset)
Me: Sorry bud. You can call me names if you want
Asher:fake cries:
Me: Gonna have to try harder than that, kiddo. You want to watch Blue's Clue's with Dad when we get home?
Asher: No.(this kids angry face is fucking priceless)
Me: Ohhh, this is serious.
Asher: Yup.

He spent the entire rest of the time in the car(with randomly interjected demands for french fries) pointing at the moon and saying me ball. I'm assuming this was some sort of attempt to irritate me into submission. I think the next word I'm going to teach him is "impossible".

The moon is apparently a giant fucking ball. Daddy not being able to give 1 year olds said giant fucking ball to play with is apparently heart-breaking, traumatizing, and grounds for exclusion from the Dad of the Year candidacy.

Luckily, I'll be back in the running at 0700 Tomorrow morning.

Very funny. Our little guy is only 3 months old so I don't have any funny stories yet. He already has the angry face down though. Is it bad that it makes me laugh?

Only one time so far, on the very first one. I strafed left. If he tries again I'm going right.
Mama has been peed and pooped on though. I keep telling her to stay outside of the blast zone.
