Thread: Descent

How many of you remember the game Descent (the original)? Well I do and I enjoy'ed playing it back then. Well guess what? I can now play it on Windows 7 with some graphics rendering upgrades. This game still rocks!!! Man, the good old day's, still love the controls and flying in that game.

I still play the old version Descent I. There is Descent II/III.

On my local PC, it has multiplayer but its local. I haven't look much into multiplayer. There is a community out there that only play Descent and I heard they have modified the code so you can do multiplayer over LAN. They also are the ones that released a code so it will run with Windows 7 and use the 3D rendering of your card. So, the game doesn't look like big blocks of pixels. Also, the music to the game is awesome. Another, FYI this game was first to use 3D graphics rendering and 3D movement.

I take exception to the first 3d rendering and 3d movement thing. But still a great game.

So, do you have the game or do you need it? Cause, I have Descent I/II. Also, have the files currently configured to run Descent I on windows 7. Haven't play'ed around with Descent II yet.
