Officiating (lack of) in the Outback Bowl
I also saw a still photograph of the 1st down chain measurement (not at any odd angle) and it was obvious as can be that the ball was well short of the 1st down. That ref ought to be investigated, suspended, fired, and/or banned. That kind of call was either the essence of stupidity or the product of criminal behavior.

That call was so nuts. The ref wasn't ever looking at it straight on... and NORMALLY when it's that close, they use a card they carry in their pocket to see if there's any space between the nose of the ball and the stick. Complete blunder. If it wasn't for Clowney's individual effort on the next play, South Carolina was fucked.
