This. It's why I watch next to no sports at all, professional or otherwise, even though I played through.

The money has ruined the game (not a new problem by the way) and as such I place sports owners and the athletes extremely low on my list of things to give a shit about.

Hockey is the best sport to see live IMO, on TV it loses the charm and to me isn't quite as fun to watch. Granted I've yet to go to Europe thus haven't been to a football (not the american kind) match yet, really want to check it out sometime (MLS will only count when Arizona gets a team...).
