Read the above, this particular post is what started me off tonight. See if you can read it without getting irritated. This is just one example, there are plenty out there. I sent 10 examples to my local newspaper tonight highlighting misspelled or totally wrong choice of words.

And if you are trying to get yourself unbanned, it is rather like a job interview. The guy titles his post as Unbaned. Unbaned? Bane is something bad, so maybe it was a clever play on words that he is trying to get unbanned and that would be good?

I wouldn't mind an occassional misspell. After all, we don't have the wonderful F7 function here. But make an attempt please. Read that thread above, try to read the paragraph in one pass. I couldn't do it. Perhaps if it were in 2 paragraphs it would have been easier.

And cussing? It's much more effective when its used sparingly. Or when its situationally appropriate. Last year, I got myself in what was nearly a very bad situation while flying my hang glider. Trust me, I was cussing for about 4 minutes straight. Once back on the ground and discussing it with the more experienced pilots, those words were left out. It wasn't appropriate at that time.

the worst part is that there are freely and readily available tools, from firefox that has a built-in spell check, and even the danged new forums has a built-in spell check, which happens to be the biggest button...

now i will admit that i'm not the best at keeping up with my punctuation in forum posts given the casual nature of the environment (as in i might do youre instead of you're...or not capitalize my proper nouns), but for the most part, my spelling and grammar are up to par :P ...but some of these posts i read almost make me feel stoopiderer after reading them

I'm not the best speller here by ANY means. But I have downloaded the Google spell check (firefox's SUCK if you check for real) and I use it EVERY TIME. Well that is when I'm on a computer I can install it on. But some of the posts I've read on here are quite disturbing. I'm with ya Boat.

I hope this doesn't sound to messed up as I'm Really drunk LOL. (I just had to put the chat-ese had to be put in for general purposes).
