Thread: the stupid happens...

My Nexus 10 tablet sitting on the back of the couch decided to fall off... slid down next to my head and rolled off the side... then proceeded to gain sentience and legs evidently and wound up 4 feet from the couch in the goddamn cat's water bowl.

I get up and grab it and it's flickering and then dies. Hard dead. So if it doesn't dry out and start working again, that's 500 more dollars I'm going to have to dish out to replace it.

GRRRRRRRR...

the fact that it was on when it got wet is a bad thing. As long as there's not power running throught it they can survive a good bit of water. Try leaving it in rice for the day as smoken said, but from what you said, don't get your hopes up on it pulling through.

Buy a Surface. They'll replace it for any reason within 2 years for an extra 100. Love my wife's pro.

the only reason I'd get a surface pro (never an RT) is the active digitizer. But I'm waiting for adobe, wacom and microsoft to get their collective heads out of their asses and get some drivers that work with photoshop. As it is, it's laggy as hell and has no pressure sensitivity. Sketchbook Pro works fine though, but that's not my software of choice.

Other than that, I have zero reason to get a windows tab.
