Re: Slowcooking
Ah yes, forgot about my Sunday football chicken chilli.
3 large cans of Hormel Chili (with or without beans, your choice)
1 to 2 lb of grilled chicken breast (sliced up)
1 lb of grated cheese (your choice, I usually use a 4 cheese blend from the grocery store)
2 or 3 medium tomatoes (diced)
1 large sweet/yellow onion (diced)
2 large green peppers (diced)
4 or 6 beef cut-up hotdogs (optional)
Tabasco sauce (as much as you like)
Throw it all in a crock pot, mix, and cook on low until the cheese melts (usually 2-3 hours). Serve with tortilla chips.
That lasts me and a room full of people throughout an entire day of football.

Re: Slowcooking
You can make "pulled" kosher brisket. Go to a kosher butcher and get a brisket with some good marbling. Cook it slowly, (oven smoker, or w/e) until it falls apart. The parts with more marbling will really fall apart. If it has less, you are going to have to cook it longer, but that's okay.
I made this once in the oven with cinnamon, bouillon, and onion. A lot of it fell apart when i was carving it. I took that part and threw it on a skillet with some barbecue sauce and it was delicious.
