weird dreams

Interesting thread. I wish i had stories to tell but i next to never remember anything. The only piece i remember from one i had a .50 cal barrett and was shooting people. I dont know why or who or where just that i was sitting way out making head and chest shots.

I do however seem to get deja vu ALOT in buildings i have never been to and i mean i get flashes of trimming in the same exact flooring product in the same door way that has the same damage i seem to recall. Its really weird sometimes.

I don't remember too many of my dreams, but a while back, a friend and I tried to get into lucid dreaming. I remember trying all this stuff to get it to work for like two months, and I only had one that actually worked, but it was soooo awesome! I was in this glass room, and I realized I was in a dream, so I told myself I could control it. I broke the glass and started flying around new york city at night, and I could move the world around. It was really awesome, as I could change the elevation of the ground to whatever shape I wanted. I turned the ground into a giant dirt dog, but that's like all I achieved in that dream. Right after that, I was in the glass room again, and I knew it was still a dream, and I told myself I could break the glass again, but it wouldn't break. It kinda pissed me off because I knew I was in the dream, and yet I couldn't control what was happening anymore. At first I could, but then it just got all stupid and I couldn't anymore. All I know is that though I have only had one, lucid dreams are the coolest things ever!

How does one make them self have a lucid dream? I am curious as im pretty sure mine would be really intense if i ever had one judging by how i think about the world and universe, This could really make some inception type shit happen in my head.

google is your friend... TONS of sites out there for that.

But one technique I've heard works well is to continually ask yourself if you are dreaming (while you are awake) and do some sort of quick check to prove to yourself you are awake such as verify that you can't push your hand through a wall or desk or whatever. Another good "reality check" is to look at your palm and verify it looks ok. IE: it doesn't look strange. Do this often enough and you will eventually start doing it in dreams. Do it in dreams and realize that something is off will trigger a "eureka" moment where you can go "HEY! I'm dreaming!" Once that happens you CAN (not always) start doing whatever you want in your dream. The key is getting that "eureka" moment.

I used the technique of poking my right hand with my index finger on my left hand. Made it a habit, and then when I did it in my dream, my finger literally went through my other hand. It was cool. I have noticed I've been in dreams before, but the only time I've ever controlled one was that time. It was definitely awesome though.
