Also I don't think your example of a twin turbo Camero counts as old school muscle beating the 100k car. Cheap beating expensive yes. But twin turbos are not old school in my mind. And I am not sure you could do it for just a couple of grand either. But I am willing to bet it can be done for far less than 100k total investment.

Im almost with you on that but turbos have been around since the earlier 60's. I have always been a bigger fan of super charges and not the little ones people hide under their hood. More specifically whipple chargers have always been a favorite of mine.
