Alice in chains fans?

Anybody else a fan of Alice in Chains here? I just pulled down their most recent album 'The devil put Dinosaurs here' and am listening to it now. Sounds great so far.

I've been a fan since I was a young pup and saw them at Lollapalooza in 1992 with Tool.

At this point, the world has turned and a lot of the folks have turned their attention elsewhere. I am curious to know whether any others continue to follow them.

Ya, I love me some alice. I have listened to the latest album several times and I am still listening to it. I really liked hollow in the beginning but Pretty Done is starting to win me over as one of the heavier songs on the album, and duvall lays it down solid on Hung on A Hook.

The whole album feels like a continuation of what they did with Black Gives Way to Blue. This time I feel like they are moving forward and what I mean is that on black gives way to blue there still was some "missing lane" feelings with the song black gives way to blue, (which I am not doggin that song or any feelings they had I think it was a good song, and in a way I felt their feelings and echoed them back).....but on this last album they really mix up all of their experiences from the past and use it on this album. On multiple songs I could hear Jerry using techniques that he has used on other songs in the past, to good effect.

Also, I have to give props to Sean(smashin on the drums) and Mike Inez for keeping it down and dirty with the bass, and I am happy they give the bass presence and sustain on the album (unlike other bands where the bass is hard to hear on the albums).

Big fan here, as you already know..... Can't like tool and not like AIC. Their new album is pretty damn good and the new singer definitely hits the mark.

I wouldn't call him a new singer, because he was still in the band back in the day.. he did background vocals and played guitar.

They did bring in a new guitarist, though.
