Late night is the best time to shop.
You get to meet some of the weirdest people. People with issues and drug addicts shop all hours but I seem to see the weirdest people at night.
I currently work 2nd shift and find going to the store at 12am Central, the quickest time to shop. Hardly any people and no lines.
So I left work tonight and went to a Hyvee close to home. Place is only a few months old and 24 hours. I go in tonight looking for just a couple things. They purposely put the milk in the far back corner so you have to go by all of the endcaps and specials before you reach it. I start heading that away. When you get past the meat section you have to turn right to get to dairy and stuff.
Well I turn the corner and there is about a ~50 year old lady carrying a gallon of milk and 2 jugs of OJ. She offloads one of the OJs into an endcap with shredded cheese and other things. (Couldn't be bothered to walk the 10 feet to put it back correctly, or so I thought). After offloading the OJ, she looks up and sees me. So she scurries down and aisle. I think nothing of it and go get some milk.
My next stop was in frozen foods for these little pizza roll things that have chicken parmesan. I turn down the first aisle and start looking in the cases. A worker at the other end sees me searching and starts walking to me. As he is about to reach me, the lady walks past the aisle. Stops turns back and is staring me dead in the eyes as she sets the gallon of milk on the ground.
The guys sees my weird facial expression and turns around while saying "What?" The lady was already gone and he didn't see the gallon of milk. At this point I think I am losing my god damn mind. So I quickly shake it off and was just like oh sorry just looking for pizza rolls.
He tells me the next aisle over. So I turn to go back the way I came. He turns around to go back to work and then sees the milk. I hear him say "What the hell?" So I let out a sigh of relief realizing I hadn't quite lost my mind yet. (soon.)
At this point, I hurriedly grab the chicken parmesan rolls and get the hell out of there. When I got home, I then wondered where the last jug of OJ was going to end up. I am just hoping it isn't on my porch or in my fridge tomorrow when I get up.I never miss. I simply fire warning shots.

haha. There's a Super Wal-Mart near my place. I don't go in there often but it's the only 24/7 place by my house. If I need something on the way home from school and it's like 2am or something I go and it's true, there are some freaky-deaky people out at night.
Luckily It's close enough to the university that there's also a few other normal people out that late to balance the numbers of crazy/non-crazy
