Every day is easier than the last. Once you get a solid week under your belt, it's smooth sailing. Keep it up!!

Smoking is rampant among many engineers, and engineering students/professors that I see daily. Of the ones I know that quit or are quitting, a fair number have found success with the e-sig. Of the ones I work with, they seem to be more calm and less stressed looking then then they got up to take a smoke every fifteen minutes.

Good luck! You can do it

Try some candy (a little, in moderation), especially chocholate (i.e. m&m's) (it's what a lot of AA's do). Eat some candy every time the urge to smoke comes up, among other things it will help condition your mind and make your day a little better.

Gum helps I hear. I know it helps me focus. I suppose it is because I am doing something all the time when I chew gum so I don't feel so bored or whatever you know :P.

Not from not smoking, but from Chantix. It's a "stop smoking" drug that is actually more of a mood/mind altering drug....like Prozak (happy pills). Horrible shit with terrible side effects. Prosper had anxiety attacks and I had some pretty serious nightmares from only a couple of days on it ( I decided smoking was far better than not sleeping/sleeping like shit and waking up in a sweat-soaked terror).

It worked really well for some friends of mine, but I didn't have the same experience as they did.
