Thread: When your Dad runs over your laptop...

My backpack with laptop in it was sitting in the garage with all the other staged stuff to go in my truck to move back to school and after everything was loaded, but my backpack come to find out, he put the Tahoe back in the garage as I moved my truck out of the way for him. Well he didnt notice my backpack sitting there in the side of the garage and promptly ran over it >.< So now the screen is cracked and I can't see the scroll bar on the right... So it sorta kills. But it gives me a good excuse to buy a little newer laptop :P The old D620 is a hell of a trooper though! Still working, just with some funky screen issues... But, I'm all moved back to school!

external monitor + keyboard and mouse = a dedicated dorm room / apartment machine

I had a buddy who used his dismantled and overheating laptop like this for years.....

Ouch that sucks. Screens usually aren't to bad to replace. I had to replace the screen on my wife's laptop twice after she left it on top of the car and drove off with it still up there(twice).

You Could by a replacement case too, The Screen Attachment is easy.

Oh ya, I can have this laptop apart in about 5 minutes flat. I use to do it all the time at work in Oregon. This just gives me a good excuse to go out and buy a few year newer laptop and replace the probably 6 year old laptop with a year or two old one.

And I already have a hell of a college desktop :P

On another note I bought a refurb Dell Latitude e6410 from Dell
