No speaking about drag racing. Speaking about safety. Talk to your tire store and ask them. It was touched on earlier about hydro planing. When your front tires hydro plane, you have a reasonable chance to recover. When rear tires hydro plane, you will lose control and back will spin out. But, if want to be as safe as possible, replace all 4 and rotate those tires.

Your also not suppose to wait until the bitches are bald. Plus rear tire hydro planing is recoverable provided is not an extended period of time or during a turn. That being said if your hydro planing to that extent it doesnt matter which set is doing it. I will say i had a nice experience with a set of drag radials when it sprinkled. Its the only time i lost control of my vehicle but i did recover it after the spin. I was mad as hell at the time but at my crew because if they had done their job i wouldn't have been in my car that day.
