Need Help Finding A Book
Title
Soldier Boy: A Chronicle of Life and Death and Survival during World War II
Author
George K. Zak
ISBN
0533126355
My dad wants this for Christmas and I have had a hell of a time finding it. The author just passed away this year and the publisher is out of business. I thought I found a copy in Florida that wasnt $8,000 (thanks Amazon) but they cancelled my order a few days later saying that they didn't have the book in stock.
Help!

Re: Need Help Finding A Book
4.99 for kindle version on amazon. I assume you want an actual book as a gift. I tried finding it on Books Online - New, Rare & Used Books - Movies & Music - Alibris Marketplace which specializes in finding hard to find books and there were zero copies available.
I found it at a couple of libraries that had it available for checkout (Catalog - Soldier boy : a chronicle of life and death and survival during World War II / George K. Zak.[World%20War%2C%201939-1945] North of boston library exchange.
For what it will cost you to get a physical copy you are better off spending ~150 on a kindle fire device and loading the 4.99 kindle version on it. If hes after the physical hardcopy good luck. Outside of a library I don't see any available.

Thanks for the help guys. I figured it was for naught but figured I would try. I'll suggest he get the Kindle version to read on his iPad. He's old-fashioned so he wanted the physical book, but what can ya do?

Soldier boy : a chronicle of life and death and survival during World War II (Book, 1998) [WorldCat.org]
Libraries might be the best/only option for a physical copy

Re: Need Help Finding A Book
Oh wow, nice find Al. Thanks!
I ended up buying him a Kindle version and having him download the Kindle app on his iPad. I'll send him this info though to see if he's interested in getting a physical copy to read.
