idk if you guys have been a part of this but its a great cause and i encourage everyone to help out so far gamers have put together 10 million this year its pretty great. gamingforgood.net these guys and the devs of the games are really doing some good.

I suppose while we're on this sort of topic, there's also the speedrunning community who does events raising money for good causes too. Coming January 5th, they'll be doing an event called "Awesome Games Done Quick". Last year they raised $500,000 in a week's time that went to the Prevent Cancer Foundation. They also have a Summer event that raised $350,000 this year for Medicins Sans Frontieres. Twitch offers to match donations made during both marathons, so the more people watching and donating, the better.
