Re: What thread does this even go in?
Killer.
Thrash Metal FTW..........Master! Master!
Also....Heavy Metal tab......Lemmy!!!!
However, having Zeppelin under the Heavy Metal tab has to be a mistake. That tab belongs to one band only. Black Sabbath.
Otherwise....very cool. It's fun to click around and follow the progression.

Really cool. Seems to be lacking in the 2000-2010 decade. Hopefully they will add to it.

I noticed a few gaps too; for example I thought Madchester/BritPop deserved a nod. Maybe also some sub-genres of Blues Rock and Hard Rock - perhaps a Texas Blues Rock entry with a classic ZZ Top song.
Jam-Bands also get no love. There's more than 20 sub-headings for various forms of Metal - but no jam bands?
Also, no Acid Jazz?
Arguing about what should or shouldn't be in there is the fun, of course, but I also hope they add to it.

You don't need to do much pretending. ProTools negated skill, talent, and soul.
And no NWOBHM. British bands that came after Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Rainbow ect. had a HUGE influence on the bands that defined the Eighties. Bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy were the big brothers of bands like Van Halen and Motley Crue.
