car alarms

does anyone pay attention to them anymore or do they just think i wish theyd shut that damn thing off ?

i noticed whenever a car alarm is going off no one not even cops or security guards seem to even look so what good are they these days really ?

They certainly alert other pedestrians. If I am walking through a parking lot and a car alarm goes off, I always look over at the vehicle. If I saw the car bumping up and down, or some person climbing in through the window, I would call the police.
