    When I started college, my father set up my checking account for me. I already had one at another bank, but that bank had no offices in Louisiana. I ended up getting a Chase one. It was set up so that if I needed to do so, I could have my father sign stuff for me. However, the account was not a joint account. I've kept it that way out of convenience. I've stayed with them since they're the only conveniently close (read: within an hour) bank to Ruston and DFW.

    Flash forward to now, and they request info from my dad since they're being audited. My dad calls them up (I've also given him all of my info he would need). I'm there listening in case they need to talk with me. My father starts explaining why he's calling, and before he can say more than a few words is cut off by the rep. My father tries to get a word in so he can explain why he's calling. This continues to the point the rep actually asks my father to stop cutting HIM off. So, my father asks to speak to his boss. The rep hangs up on him.

    Yes, we called the actual bank number (not a fake one). Yes, the letter is real.

    I already had a TDA account set up so the money I'm earning could be easily managed. I'm switching over to them completely since I no longer need Chase. This also means no more fees.
    enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

    I avoid the big banks like the plague because of similar experiences. Mine was with Citi though.

    USAA is fantastic if you can get em...otherwise any credit union will do.

    Pretty much the same reasons why I'm completely switching to TDA. I'm should be able to do that on Monday. The only annoying part is switching over all of my payment info.
