Thread: Vikings! Season 2

It's here! I'm relatively new to the show, I've only just seen the first season a few weeks ago - but the premiere was tonight and it brought some crazy changes to the show with it.

***SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS***

I am happy with the ceasefire between the two factions but I'm not sure I quite liked the manner in which the fight ended. Everyone just decided to stop? In either case, that battle was nuts, Rollo is a ferocious man beast of a viking even if he is a traitor.

As soon as the princess lady's boat sailed in you knew Ragnar was in the dog house. It's an interesting bit of character drama but I hope it doesn't drown out the good parts of the show. From what it looks like though, we will see Ragnar's wife in battle again from the preview, though so much was going on in the trailer that it was difficult to make out the setting. I'm excited for what this season has in store.

Anybody else watch the new episode tonight? Have any thoughts

Did this show get better? I watched the first few episodes when it came out and it seemed slow to me.

Of the 9 episodes of the first season, the first few were slow. Around 4-7 we got some fantastic action episodes. 8-9 explored the mythology and did some setup for this season. It has its ups and its downs, but I'm a fan.

I read somewhere that it's a though balancing act because much of the story and characters are historically accurate - they are trying to balance real life events of the characters, as well as explore the fantasy of the period
