Thread: One grandparent left

Down to one grandparent now as of Saturday morning.

Silverlinings:
-he died in his sleep with two wonderful nurses who kept him company the whole time
-he no longer has to live with a bad case of dementia

So sorry White. I'm sure he was very proud of you. He'll always be with you.

And dementia sucks. So horrifying to see a sound mind slowly die. At least he is at peace.

My condolences white. My grandmother suffered dementia as well before she passed. It's very tough. I too have only one grandparent left. All you can really do is enjoy the time you have left with them

My condolences White. Losing family always hurts...watching one lose their mind and/or body hurts even more.
