05-22-14, 08:25 PM #1Everything is on fire
Summer is usually super bad for us in northern AZ as well as in California. A fire here around Sedona is burning its way up towards Flagstaff. I have some friends south of the city already get evacuated as the fire was only 3 miles out as of last night.
This is the view outside where I work on a normal day.
This was yesterday, smoke so thick you can't see the peaks.
Even the sun was barely shining through the smoke. Not a single cloud in the sky, but smoke thick enough to look overcast. I went out to my car and it was covered in ash.
The fire is still going strong but the wind died down and shifted some of the smoke so it's not as bad in the city today.
This is just the start of the fire season, hopefully they get this one contained and stopped soon. It sounded like it was man-started down in oak creek canyon and spread north along i17 from there
