Thread: NBA offseason

Anyone else keeping up with the NBA? This offseason has the potential to be very interesting.

The Mavs just traded for Tyson Chandler. Not sure how excited I am about this move. While Chandler is definitely an upgrade over Sam Dalembert I am not a Ray Felton fan. Add to that we gave up Calderon and Larkin as well, and this trade looks like a winner for the Knicks. Don't really care about Ellington or the 2 second rounders because if your team is counting on those then you suck anyway. Hopefully this move will make the Mavs more than just a stop on the tour for Melo and LeBron.

Yes, LeBron. He opted out, so now what happens to him and the Heat. On one hand I could see him, Wade, and Bosh all coming back, but on the other if you take LeBron off of that Heat team are they much better than the Cavs teams he put on his back? Yes, Bosh is better than any of the old Cavs big men, and yes, Wade is a stud when healthy, but when was the last time he was truly healthy? Calling it now, LeBron to the Clippers to make the new "big 3" with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Holy crap that team would be good and fun to watch.

The draft is tonight, and by all accounts it is loaded. Since most of these guys are freshmen they still have big potential to flop, but I am hoping that guys like Wiggins, Exum, Parker, and Embiid(could be the next Greg Oden) live up to the hype. There are also some other possible gems later in the draft as well. All in all I am looking forward to the next few weeks.

Hope Melo comes to Chicago. Rose/Melo would be a deadly combo...then with all the other supporting cast and Tibs coaching. Hard not to consider.

I'd like to see the entire Timberwolves team traded for a half a pack of gum and a used condom, but I doubt we would get that much.

If only Rose could stay healthy.

Rose will never be the same. He is scared of injury now, which will cause him to keep getting injured when he plays timid.
