I still have some nice Bourbon. I don't drink much right now, but a high ball every now and then is nice. My sister knows I have it. She just came in tears asking for some. I've seen people take that path to alcoholism (given my sister's past actions, she probably already is one; she's been out at bars almost every night), and I know two alcoholics on the mend who warned about depression+alcohol.
"No, you're depressed."
"I'm not depressed."
"You're crying your eyes out."
"No, I'm not. Just give me some." <----tears running down face
"No."
She got angry and stormed off. I've pieced together that she's upset her ex-bf is having fun on the other side of the world and that she's upset about that.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

Hmm, running to the bottle is never a good sign... Does she have any therapy or anyone she goes and talks to? I know a little of some of the problems you have/have had and it sounds like she is in what seems to be a, scary place...

She's supposed to be starting therapy down here. This isn't anything new though. When she was in University, I chalked it up to being in college. Now? Yeah, she's drowning her sorrows. Regardless of the origin of those sorrows, she's using the sauce.
