So stupid. Handled well by the streamer, not something I ever want to go through...

Yeah I would never have told them I was streaming.

And going through someone's phone without a warrant is illegal now.

I thought he was getting a call and the officer was trying to shut it off (not saying that's ok). Also, he may have given permission. I am assuming he wanted to stop the stream so he could give information about himself without that being broadcasted. Still fucked up all around

Depending on the nature of the call, there may be no time to assess whether the call is legitimate or not. It's better to take all calls for bomb threats than to dismiss some and be wrong that 1% of the time and lose hundreds if not thousands of lives in the process.

It's much like how we deal with problem players: Apprehend the wrongdoer first to prevent any problems, then question afterwards. If there is no true cause for alarm, then everyone goes their separate ways peacefully (one would hope).

They found a Prop closet full of Prop guns, that were treated as though they were Real. This heightened the situation and presented a real fear. Then they found him playing a "Shooter" game.

This is the same police force that responded to the Columbine Massacre in 1999. So you can understand the circumstances.
