The lake near my house was ~10' low at the end of April. It is now ~1' high. The scary part is the lake up river is too full, so they are about to have to release water. The 2 lakes closest to my house have both been closed due to flooding, but other than that nothing major. Austin and Houston areas have been hit even harder.

So, speaking of this rain, if I have a rabbit hole in the back yard full of drowned baby rabbits, what should I do to make sure the dog doesn't get a rotten bunny dinner? (I have reason to believe she already has been snacking). One of the adults is still alive I think. Should I just cover the hole where the babies are and pack the dirt in? Move the babies and then cover the hole?
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
    Bigdog-

I'd get rid of the carcassas, and fill the hole. No need to invite the pup to start digging for buried tresure.

Best way to get rid of them? I think my parents still have work gloves (they accidentally threw my pairs out), and I have trash bags. No shovel except for the cat litter scoop. Trash day was also yesterday. I should add that I can't drive them somewhere as my mother totaled my car. I can always wait until my dad is home with his car.

I guess my last question is: what should I do about the hole with the live rabbit? Should I get it out and fill it in too?
