I'm cool with common core but since this is different from the way we learned, it would be nice for the schools to provide some type of reference for the parents who want to be involved in helping the kids through school. It could even be a link or anything to help the parents. Most parents have long forgotten many things taught in school and the kids don't bring home books for the parents to get reminders. In my estimation if the schools want parents to be more involved in their kids education they could help by providing guides for parents to access.

Yea my kid graduate in june. The schools must be doing something right he will graduate with a 3.7+. Very little help from my wife and I. I feel like we are very lucky because he has needed little parental supervision.

I asked, and she doesn't know of any resources. She normally sits down with parents that need help. I also found out that her school district doesn't run pure common core; they use the parts they like.
