06-18-16, 11:44 PM #1A Farewell
This has been a long time coming and I know this won't be a surprise to some of you. It took friends and family for me to take a good, hard look at what I do and do not need in my life. Teamplayer Gaming has been a rich and wonderful place to be and you have all taught me so much about maturity and responsibility, but it's time I moved on to greener pastures, and that means letting go of some things.
I have always felt compelled to play out of the raw enjoyment that playing with you all has brought me. This, however, has been my downfall for what I now realize has been far too long. This place has successfully distracted me from what should have been higher priorities in my life without me realizing. I don't mean to say that you are evil people, but that *I* am the one too vulnerable to distraction.
As such, I bid these forums and the community adieu. I will still be on Steam if people want to chat with me or hit me up for the occasional game, but it's best if I stay away from community gatherings.
Sincerely,DJ Ms. White liked this post

I'll put this into simple terms then: I suck at real life, and real life is important. Teamplayer Gaming has always been a major source of escapism in my life and it's only through sheer luck that I haven't paid for it worse during my high school and college years. Now that I'm out of college and on the hunt, I'm realizing now that I'm really bad at the basics of life, and continuing to hang out here and play video games is only counterproductive.
Sometimes we don't see a problem even though it's literally right in our faces. This problem has been right in front of my face for years and I've chosen to ignore it for too long. And like I said, I'm not saying you're bad people or that this is intentional, I'm just REALLY bad at making smart decisions.
Edit: And yes, if you message me on Bnet or Steam and say you want to play, I'll play, just don't be surprised if I say no or don't respond at all. I also won't proactively play games that I know TPG associates with for fear of getting sucked in again.Last edited by Allane; 06-19-16 at 07:36 PM.

Re: A Farewell
With 2800 posts in almost 10 years.... I don't think a game forum is your problem. Don't make the mistake of trying so hard to figure out what your problem is that you tag the wrong things as the problem. It's good that you are trying to figure it out, but mistaking the problem as one thing when it's something else could be just as bad as not addressing the problem to begin with.
