Re: A Farewell
Best of luck man! and remember, we will be here if you want to come back. We have all gone through real life things, and hopefully you can get your balance down to include gaming still. Being in the 'real world' any time playing will probably be less, but it can certainly be a part of it, but I hope you can figure it out, and I'm sure you will!

Re: A Farewell
I did something similar a while back in college. Daily self-introspection is a necessary and sometimes difficult thing. Learn what the minimum is needed for you to live a happy life. This can take a while and can be a bumpy journey. The reward is worth it, though.

Re: A Farewell
Balance is the key. Real life comes first.
Take some long walks and listen to some classical music a few times a week and you'll change your life. It will give you time for some introspective thinking, some exercise, and most importanly, some time to think about your goals and the best way to reach them. There is something to be said about taking some time for yourself, and blocking out all of life's noise for a few minutes per week.
You are a Grade A guy Allane. I've been telling you that for years now, and I have been right all along. If you put the same care and passion you have for games into your career path, you'll be on top of whatever ladder you choose to climb. Your future boss doesn't know how lucky he is yet....but he will. I have a feeling you will be successful at whatever you put your mind to. You have been a great admin, and more importantly, a great friend. You will certainly be missed, but if you feel you must go, then go make the World your bitch. Just be sure and stop in every once in a while and say hey, and if you want to play, play with us. Some of us will miss you. I know I will.

Re: A Farewell
Damn. Allane, we will certainly miss you. *I* will certainly miss you. Real life does take precedence, but like in all things, moderation. We are always here for you.

Re: A Farewell
You will for sure be missed. I myself have come and go from games. I haven't logged into steam since Feb...I just fall in and out of stuff naturally. Come back when you're ready.
One thing that's really awesome about TPG is the fact everyone here will be the first to tell you "rl is more important". It's comforting when you gotta leave and take care of something. I am sure everyone here is rooting for you!
And we get it.
