Re: Travel advice
On the other side of the perspective, when you are a concealed holder, you try to stay a concealed holder. It becomes habit to go through your routine, holster your weapon, and go about your business. Not doing that for a set amount of days or through travel can impede that habit. For some people, it's like the family dog. You bring it everywhere. There's nothing wrong with that.
I'd also like to point out that wanting to know the state laws that will affect your routine are signs of a very respectable person.deputyfestus liked this post

Re: Travel advice
I have somehow misrepresented myself.
I have no reason to think that DF shouldn't carry his handgun on his trip., and I agree that it's just good sense to know the law ahead of time.
He said something which implied that his view of the landscape is very different from my own. That struck me as something to ask about. Maybe my view is wrong. Maybe his experience has taught him something that would be good to learn.
But I have some experience too, and I thought it was also possible that his additional concerns were unfounded.
He's headed out on the road with his wife and granddaughter. I hope he enjoys it. I've been that way myself, and it was great. I recommend it to anyone. There's way more real America, and real Americans, out there in the country than there are on a screen.
