Notorious BUN and GI Hans ruin games
Here is some status report of Notorious. We were playing today and we was an idiot. We had 9 people votekick him but couldn't get the job done. When a guy is 3-18 and mic spamming, that guy needs to be kicked, if he even ever comes back.
As for GI, he was just an idiot.

RE: Notorious BUN and GI Hans ruin games
No admins on at the time. I sent a request through ma_chat but no reply and no action. Votekick takes too long and too many people. I think if we can get 75%, that should be enough. Either people don't know how to kick even though every else types in Votekick, or the others just don't read at the bottom at all. Anyway we can change the voting tactics when no admin are on. It happened last night with some guy phases0 again. Thanks for the help though.

RE: Notorious BUN and GI Hans ruin games
the problem with votekicks... the guy can just reconnect. on cs, i once saw a guy with absurd speed hacks and aimbots (this wasn't on ttp, it was some random custom map server). and guess what? no admins. so, a votekick passes, and as soon as he's kicked, he reconnects. kick, reconnect, kick, reconnect, kick... it just goes on and on and on.
any way that after x nuber of sucessful votekicks to make it turn into a temp ban? maybe a week or so.

For me the sound skipping is related to a process running on my laptop. The game plays great on my desktop, so I started investigating what the differences were in the processes running on each. I found my problem, so I figured I'd post my fix in case anyone else is still having this problem. I tried everything else that people were posting and still had the sound loop locking up problem. The problem is due to a process running in the background and Realtek Audio (though this may affect other audio drivers too).
CTRL-ALT-DEL
End a process called CTFMON.exe (if running 64-bit there are two; end both).
Play the game.
Doing so seems to make the game play stable for me.
Apparently this is part of MS Office, which I have, and it is a piece of crapware that Microsoft distributes which monitors text input for something to do with the text-to speech and language bar (I guess). There are tutorials out there to keep it from loading, but the ones I have tried do not seem to work. It still insists on loading no matter what I do. If you use msconfig to remove it, it will just load itself back up again.
At first I thought it was my Realtek Drivers causing the problem, but I narrowed it down to this and it seems to have solved my problem. I can even turn back on multi-core rending with CTFMON.exe out the picture.
