Thread: my grandfather is going to die

I lost my Grandfather this past december to cancer. He was a pillar to the Eagle Pass community. And will never be forgotten.

my moms childhood bestfriend pretty much part of the family
has supose to have died along time ago
he has lung cancer and has always screamed and yelled at my mom for smoking so he obviously opossed it
its been spreading and somehow he is still alive
i dont know how but its all doing a number on us
hes always in and out of the hospital
but my grandpa as soon as he started to look alot better is when he passed
it was really hard on my mom and i
we had left ICU to go pick up somthing from walmart for him and while we were gone he passed
ja anyways dont need to bring myself back in to depression so ill finish this post up

he passed away at 5:49 pm, when he went he went quitetly, took his last breath and then he was gone, the last thing he said to me before he died was "mijo when do i get to go home" I said "in about a week" 6 days later he passed, if anything i can say im kinda glad he went, no longer will he feel the effects of kidney failure and no longer will he have to deal with the pains of being poked and prodded by countless nurses. i learned allot from him and from caring for him at home and i know that now i can deal with pretty much anything that comes my way.
id like to thank those of you who replied, its funny how a little internet forum can filled with so many caring people, granted i dont know most of you very well but i'll be forever grateful for your kind words

I'm sorry for your loss Dave. It is never good to lose anyone and just be glad you had a chance to talk with him before he left. My brother passed away when he was 9 and I was 14. My grandparents died in a small plan crash when I was 3. I value life a lot and know that death is not an easy thing. Stay strong. I will say some prayers for your family.
