ill post pictures when its closer to completion, i want to be able to remake the tunnel later..
one of the reasons i want another mapper to help.. is because i'm not really good with tunnels and lights..
the temporary tunnel was made by carving the ground...
so.. it will take some time..
btw, i just ordered a new netbook named asus EEE 901.
lets hope its able to run the SDK properly, that will give me more time to work on the map, since its ultra portable and lightweight.
but.. could someone take a picture of the house near the church in death toll and upload it here?*Currently working on a survival map*

I'd like to dip my hands in to some serious mapping. I myself was thinking it would be interesting if valve incorporated a new survival gametype, but maps should work just as well. Im quite familiar with the hammer interface, and I released a map for css zombie mod back in the day (maybe you've played it :O, zm_nbkskyscaper). Anyways, ill PM you with some contact info, looking forward to working with you.

Having the game for PC (I've got it for the 360) is necessary for hammer, correct? I know it is for the SDK, but I'm not familiar with how the SDK and Hammer fit together. Is it possible to do any modeling at all for L4D without the game itself? (Basic buildings, layouts, ect.)
I'm sure I sound like a noob for asking this. I've done modding for Oblivion and Morrowind, but the CS for each of those is vastly different than what I've seen here.
If I can help in any way, I'd love to (that is, if you still need help). I'd love to see a survival map.
Velkyn
