Valve just covered up most of the problems.
They didn't fix anything.
Unfortunately, I'm starting to move to different games.Just remember, this is the internet and most people act like jerks to help them feel better about themselves.

It sucks how Valve have pushed people away from a simply fantastic game. The game was fantastic the way it was. I kind of agree with not breaking the door down but what they did with the smoker is horrible. As if he wasn't underpowered before, the you have the hunter melee which if used effectively was fantastic but because of all the whining idiots how there who couldn't figure the advanced tactics out, valve had to dumb it down for them. I hate the general population of everything sometimes.

My biggest issue with the Smoker was and still is its auto aim... Sometimes, I'll aim for one survivor who's just down the hall, and then for some odd reason my tongue goes around the corner and grabs someone else in another room... I exagerate obviously but the problem is an annoyance. :/
I never had any issues with the damage, as the Smoker did have the advantage of being able to strike from unseen areas without being shot at, such as rooftops and airvents. Also I disagree with the damage nerf for the huge falls that would do some serious damage to the survivors. I'm speaking about the one on the NM Finale obviously (but there are others like it on other maps, I assure you...) in which you would pull a survivor off the roof and instantly kill them. Now this was a little too much in truth, but the nerf that Valve pulled off was even greater. If something drags you down off a rooftop and you hit a slab of cold, hard concrete on your back, its going to frickin' hurt like hell. That should down them in my opinion or at least bring them close to it... But what does it do now? Little under a Tank punch.
I concur with MVP... I hate the geneal population sometimes.

I don't understand how "tweaking" the game could have moved tons of users away..there are some things I'd like to change..but really am I going to stop playing the game?
Only complaint I have is the tank...I would always do QUITE WELL as the tank, but now it seems to obvious they know where you are coming so you catch on fire they run around you can't catch them, etc. It isn't just me it does not seem fair if it is the other team either.

See I dont have any problems with Tank use even when the other team knows where its going to spawn... If you're playing with some friends and think that the Survivors will have favour against the Tank when it spawns you can always retreat and wait for the aggro timer to die down and pass on control to a friend. This way you keep the Tank active longer, and leave the survivors wondering when you will strike...
Failing that, just get to a high point and throw rocks at them. That does the trick too.
