I am the kind of person who enjoys realism in a game very much. I liked the idea in left 4 dead that you could actually just completely remove your hud. Unfortunately, when i do that with the "hidehud 4" command, it removes ALL the hud, which is my desired effect, but it makes it so i am unable to switch weapons or equpment, meaning i can't use medpacks or pills or even my own pistols. Does anyone know of a better command to use for hud removal, or a way of making it so i can switch weapons? I also tried the "cl_drawhud 0" command, but it left my allies health and status bars there, which i also want gone.

I had a similar thing after messing around with the split screen/360 controller mode. I had to re-map the game keys/buttons from options.
