    Split Screen wasnt finished for the most part from what I gather, and its something Valve intends to Properly enable at some point.

    Beyond trying to reinstall or trying a diffrent controller, I figure you may have to wait for a Patch from Valve that properly enables the Split Screen mode

    i had to disable gamepad under settings. :zombie:
