Looks like it's gonna miss texas completely, according to more recent reports.

    Guide to play infected effectively?

    Hey people

Does anyone know of any comprehensive guide on how to play an infected effectively? I feel I'm doing OK but I do not know everything and I usually screw up fantastic pounce/snare/puke moments... so if anyone knows of any guide I speak of, could you link it?

    thanks

    Youtube!! and google.

A couple seconds/minutes of searching will have you everything you need to read.

Just search the key words "guide for special infected" "how to play special infected" "special infected tactics left 4 dead" etc...

There is a ton of good information on these forums if you search around. Otherwise, a lot of it is trial and error. Like, how long does it take after you spawn before you can puke as a boomer? It takes a few seconds and if you spawn and run out too fast, you blew it. Just have to do it enough times to know when to move.

The best thing you can do is what ProjectGSX said. Just keep playing and every time you get killed right off the bat as the special infected don't spectate the survivors, spectate your team and watch what they do. It's all about learning from your surroundings.

Well at least they are still alive. Doing better than you if you get killed first. Noob or not it's all relative.

    Hunter Megathread - Facepunch

That thread helped me the most to be a hunter, It's probably one of the most comprehensive threads I was able to find starting out.

Edit - Some of the concepts are outdated - like relocating the witch but generally has a very good sense of ho to play.
