Re: DFW 2142 Players - Off the Server 'Happy Hour' Inquiry
Ok so maybe this might turn into a little more than a local happy hour gathering. If people are talking about driving I can put a few of you guys up for the night(s). Then of course we will want to play some good ole '2142 and I have a couple of options to offer up for that depending on the amount of folks that show up. I can either
a) setup at my place and bring your system for the geekin out classic lan/inet party or
b) go to the local net lighting game center and we can pay to play on their stuff so no one has to lug their shit around.
However it turns out you guys are right. Let's 1st put up some dates for a vote.

Better smokers and Hunters
Not sure if anybody has suggested this, Anybody else like the Idea of the smoker being able to release his tongue at will, It takes an incrediable amount of time to kill somebody with him, so it would be great to where you can incap somebody then set up for a rescue crew. At first this seems unbalanced but all you would have to do as a Survivor is either shoot the smoker or comeback with more then 1 person to save the incap'd team member...
As with the Hunter, nothing is more aggrevating then pouncing somebody from lets say....10 stories up and only taking half their health. Its not an easy task to do, so the reward should be greater for pulling it off. On Death Toll 1 I nailed somebody down in the valley from the very top of the safe house...had to been 200+ft up. did 19 hit points and only took down half his health. I know this game isnt extremely realistic...but having a 150lb person jump on you from that high would by all rights kill you.....
