You know how ridiculously stupid the game would be if every 25 pounce was an instant kill? Or a 19 pounce, in your case. I nail my 25 pounce at least 7/10 times, and so does every other decent player on PC. No versus game would get past 50 points if we do this.
As a Smoker, if you've pulled someone long enough to incap them, then the rest of your team is doing their job and keeping the rest of the survivors busy while they're separated. Either that or they're just retarded, which wouldn't surprise me at all. Anyways, it means you did your job. Please just give it a minute of thought on how gaytarded the game would be if Smoker/Hunters could pull/pounce and release any time they want.
As for the game being extremely realistic... Yeah, no. You go try and take 10 shotgun blasts to the face and not die. Not only that, but all you do is fall to the ground! Then you can take more shotgun blasts to the face, and only fall to the ground again!
IS DIS REAL LIFE??

I have to agree with the above post, the game needs to be balanced. And a zombie apocalypse with this kind of rampant mutation is not exactly realistic, so I think we'll be fine with having the 25 damage limit.

Just realized that I didnt put "isnt" infront of that. A maximum HP pounce shouldnt be an instant kill, but an incap...big difference. As I was saying with the smoker, he dosnt do enough damage. Giving him the ability to release his tongue wouldnt really offset the balance very much. It wouldnt be "gaytarded", I would just shoot the damn smoker instead of gun butting his tongue...same end result.
This is nothing more then a rant and a few little tweaks that I think would benefit the game...hell anybody I play with seems to agree...but as they say people in hell want ice water

Okay, so maybe you shouldn't say "but having a 150lb person jump on you from that high would by all rights kill you..... " huh?
I'll use DT1 as an example. Survivors are going down the tunnel, Boomer goes, you pull a low HP one from behind the car, The other survivors are now busy with the two Hunters and the horde. Free quick incap for you. Now normally, you'd have to sit there while doing useless damage that won't kill (unless the other survivors really blow), just to get pistol picked by the others when the horde and Hunters are dead. If Smokers could release, you'd just incap, release, and run away to one of the rooms while that survivor can't do anything because of the car covering you. By the time the others are coming back for the revive, your Boomer has respawned as a Hunter or Boomer again and your tongue is recharged. You two alone can delay the revive by at least ten seconds, which buys a lot of time for your team. Depending on how well you did, the others on your team can respawn and delay it further, and by then the incapped survivor could be dead.
Plenty of other ways Smoker release could be abused.
Any of the DA mini bridge plank things, whatever the hell they're called. Pull and instant release. You won't need to recharge because it's let go right away, but it could be enough to throw their orientation off causing the survivor to fall off.
Any map at all, Smoker pulls a survivor back from any roof while they're going down an alley way of some sort. You pull for say, 3-5 seconds then release so you can get away before getting picked. What this does is causes the other survivors to turn around and run back thinking they have to melee him/her free, but it buys the rest of your team those few seconds needed to respawn in a proper spot for an ambush.
Of course if you play in pubs you'll think this wouldn't throw the game off balance. Play a real game and imagine Smokers/Hunters being able to release/instant incap and you'll see what I'm trying to get at. Or at least imagine Dead Air and instant incapping with high pounces because I don't know about how it is on 360, but on PC, every damn pounce does 20+ if you don't dodge/headshot/melee the Hunter.
