im here in the uk..maybe its our crappy british telecom. but everyday its near impossible to get a game on the steam servers..any other online game ( not steam ) runs 100% without lag ....

The servers suck ass on ice. They are either laggy, full of TK'rs, erroring out, or keep shutting down midgame.

Add that the game keeps loosing my accomplishments it's becoming pointless to even play.

Servers consist of:

Newbies, playing with them is NOT fun

TKers or other assholes

Lag

"connection lost" "failed to join the game"

non-english kids (by this I mean they wont talk english no matter what) I sometimes speak Finnish in the voice chat with friends, but I try to stick to english as much as possible

Luckily (very rarely tho) I manage to find VERY good/friendly teams and non-laggy servers. THATS why I play.

Same here for the UK. It's very hard to get a decent server.

Tbh I think they are out there but L4Ds searching technique is bloody dreadful. Why can't I get a list up and choose myself without using console?

But by far the most annoying...

The 'server is full' problem.

I use quick random play a lot. And it's not unusal I get the same fucking message 6 times in a row. 'The server is full.'

Ok, fine. But don't tell me about it and just keep on searching. Don't chuck me back to the main screen.

That's the whole point of quick play, so you can instantly jump in a game.

Not to have to click on a message box, then click again and again to start a new search.

Over and over again as it keeps trying to connect to full servers.

Sort this out valve, FFS.
